Guardians of the Desert ( GDs )

A guardian of the Desert (GDs) is an Eco-Tourism development and support initiative focused on financially and environmentally empowering Bedouin youth through goal-oriented tourism along with environmental care and preservation. the initiative has four major components, Bedouin guides capacity building, Bedouin rest areas/sites development, trail & tour setup, and finally Marketing & monitoring & evaluation. We aim to create job alternatives and improve income in remote areas and through the most vulnerable communities and gatherings, While raising awareness of Bedouin lifestyle heritage, and culture.
